Magazine writers and TV presenters the world over have only had one question for Lorl Elle (Diamond) and Robla LaMorte (Pearl) since they appeared In Prince's Gett Off and Cream videos: to what extent did the dancers and Hls Royal Brllllance mix business with pleasure? Robla slps some coffee, lights a cigarette, rolls her eyes and sighs before replying."Did you sleep with him? Are you guys doing It? Are you poking?" she says huskily. Lorl and Robla both live In LA, where they met several years ago working on an ad for Japanese TV. When auditions started for Cream and Gett Off, Prince, who had decided he wanted twins for the project, saw the two lookallke brunettes and Immediately snapped them up. Robia is 21 and is clearly the more earthy of the pair. She admits she was a little nervous when she first met Prince – "I wasn't as loud and obnoxious as I usually am" – and refutes allegations of exploitation In the Prince videos. "I wasn’t some bimbo shaking my ass. I never wanted to go topless because the whole crew would have seen. In the end I wore a lace top and some really big, thick granny underwear." Lori, who reluctantly admits to being "a little older than Robla", Is the more demure and little-girl-Ish of the two and Is currently working on the script for a play... and even breaks off during the interview to recite some poetry she’s written. "For the passion, would you die for me? For the passion, a tear In my eye’, I’ve never shared It with anyone befog," she says. "Why me?" I think. The girls are currently recording their own debut single and will also be featured In promos for Thunder and Strollln’, future singles from the blamonds And Pearls album. But arethe characters purely fictional? "Not totally, no," says Lorl, her false eyelashes fluttering wildly. "Like Diamond, I go from one extreme to the other. One minute I’m like sforty-year-old woman, the next I’m a five-year-old kid. I’m pretty hard on myself mostly. Prince calls me Little Miss Critic." Like Robia, Lorl denies any carnal knowledge of  her boss.
