Speaking of Midnight Star, Material Thangz was produced by Reggie Calloway (a member of Midngiht Star). Both groups were based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I remember this song when the dj played it at a club called Majarajah in Tokyo in the summer of 1985. I remember that trip everytime I hear this jam.
