You would think when Prince founded Paisley Park Records years ago, Dez Dickerson’s album would have been one of the first releases. But that didnt happen. I’m guessing the two parted ways in buisness and as friends. Havent heard anything from or about Dez Dickerson since then. Wendy and Lisa should have included him in their group when they went solo.

…There were 2 versions of “God”. There was one with vocals, on the B-side of Purple Rain single. Then there was the version that was on Purple Rain. There instrumental sounded different than the vocal one, also there were long and short versions of that..
I was always baffled as to why Prince didnt release an actual soundtrack to Purple rain.

@kirz778 I totally agree with you! It seems like they le4ft him behind which wasn’t right. I can see if he didn’t have talent but he does! And his sound is different. Too bad people forget their friends when it comes to their own fame.
