Is he trying to look like Prince?

  2. Shaolin913 says:

That’s the reason Andre Cymone was so overlooked in the 80′s because everybody looked at him as a prince look a like. If U wasn’t tryin to be MJ U was tryin’ to be prince.

Even though Andre Cymone looked a lot like Prince, he did have his own New Wave-ish funk sound…until the AC album. There was no denying that Prince (and M.J.) had a HUGE impact on 80′s music.

No, he wasn’t trying to look like Prince. Prince picked pretty boys to associate with and be in his bands.

You guys really need to do your research on Prince and Andre Cymone, first of all her left The Revolution 81 for reasons unknown really, but he came up with the 1999 concept, secondly if you can ever get old videos of the group back in 79-81, Prince started toneing down his look and started looking more like Mr. Cymone,

ur wrong, prince picked talented and smart muscians, if they looked pretty that was a bonus. all of prince past picks became legends in the music world, starting from wendy and lisa(current composers of tv and music themes such as nbc’s heroes ect),morris day, sheila e,jesse johnson, alex oneil, terry lewis and jimmy jam(the 2nd most sucessful producers in music history)…..

  9. zarcon85 says:

mainly andre was in his band because prince basically grew up in his basement and was kinda adopted by betty andreason, andre’s mom…and they mastered all these instruments together…!

    agree with Joeblow

@joeblow394 I wouldnt call Wendy and Lisa legends. They owe most of their notoriety to Prince – which is why they are constantly lying about how they made him in the mid 80s.
